Hardy Half & Half Hardy Half 2025 – Race Day Highlights

On a sun-drenched Sunday in May, over 250 runners took to the beautiful Dorset countryside to take on the ever-popular Hardy Half Marathon and the brand-new Half Hardy Half.

​

Organised by a passionate team of volunteers from Dorchester RIOT Running Club, Dorchester Lions, Casterbridge Rotary, and Dorchester Rugby Club, the event brought the local community together for a fantastic day of running, music, and fundraising. This year’s races raised over £6000 in support of Yeovil Freewheelers (Blood Bikes) and other local good causes. We’re incredibly grateful to our headline sponsors, Parkers Property, CleverGoose and NFU Mutual, for their continued support.

The scenic route took runners past iconic landmarks including Hardy Monument and along the stunning South Dorset Ridgeway. Along the way, spectators cheered runners on, enjoying performances from the local Rock Choir and a traditional bagpiper, adding to the uplifting atmosphere.
 

The event was based at Dorchester Rugby Club, where runners were warmly welcomed back across the finish line. Each finisher received a well-earned medal and a refreshing Dorset Brewery Company beer, before relaxing in the buzzing event village with delicious local food and live music from talented local bands.
